Covid-19 Response


UPDATE: September 16, 2021

Alberta has declared a state of public health emergency. Temporary measures to reduce the impacts of COVID-19 on the health care system come into effect starting September 16. Mandatory restrictions for places of worship includes:
  • Capacity limited to 1/3 fire code occupancy.
  • Masks are mandatory.
  • 2 metres physical distancing between households, or 2 close contacts for those living alone.

Weekend Service Gathering Guidelines

Most public health restrictions have been removed, but FIBC will still follow the relaunch guidelines of the Government of Alberta, the City of Edmonton and Edmonton Community Leagues. Please take note of the following in order to help us gather safely:
  • FIBC will screen attendees for any COVID-19 symptoms, following the Government of Alberta’s isolation requirements
  • Please stay at home if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 and follow all Government of Alberta requirements for isolation if you are experiencing symptoms
  • New masks will be provided as a reasonable precaution
  • FIBC will disinfect and sanitize the community hall before and after every use
  • Keep appropriate physical distance
  • Continue to practice proper hand hygiene
